Apologies for a duplicate post but it's a separate thing...
When Sick Beard is doing the Post Processing i am getting a .TBN, .SRT and .NFO file created for each episode it processes - this obviously adds a lot of stuff to a folder - is it necessary or can i delete - or better still prevent it in the first place??
I've also just noticed that the last show it downloaded came through as .m2ts file type - as it happens this isn't a problem, but being able to specify would be nice, also for the future as I know you're working damn hard on this! It may also be a limitation of the NXB providers and outside of your control?
Don't forget to take a break some time though, you seem to be releasing on a crazy level!!!

So many thanks for this program, it's clearly hella powerful and capable of a lot, but I'm just trying to figure out how to get it to accomplish what I'm going for...
So what I was wondering, and pardon my ignorance if this has been discussed, is there any reason that Binsearch couldn't be integrated as a search method? I have no idea the programming involved behind it, but given how simple the manual search is with Binsearch, I wouldn't be shocked to find it at least feasible.

Just a note for anyone having trouble with post processing. I added "series title" to my list of shows, set the previous 5 eps to backlog and forced manual backlog check. SB grabbed all the backlogged eps and SAB downloaded them. However, SB would not post-process them, even with manual post process. I noticed that all the eps were listed as "series.title.US" Once I removed the "US" from the file name, SB dids its job in a heart beat. Long story short, file name was close enough for SB to grab it, but not process. Anyway, just a note incase someone is wondering why a certain show wont process, might want to check the filename.

Actually this is something else that I broke and will fix soon.
About binsearch, never heard of it - I'll take a look.

thanks alot for all your hard work. Also my posts are only in the spirit of helping out, your program is great and since I can't code for shit I figure hanging around here might be at least a little helpful.
As far as binsearch, it is pretty much just a straight usenet search engine. So scene names pop up alot and it might not always be reliable for matching.

No, aside I guess from creating a tvshow.nfo with the desired tvdb id in it...

ah that's cool was just wondering as i saw they had id's on the site and that might take care of it not finding some of the shows.

Ok. I feel rather stupid, but I'm sure I've read half of all the posts, and tried every option available. I just can't seem to get the automatic post-processing working. Nothing happens whatsoever. The ep-status does change from snatched to downloaded, but that's about it.
I've added the scripts to SAB as detailed in the post-processing page in the wiki. And turned off everything related to sorting in SAB.
Now, I did get an error in the log:
Code: Select all
Apr-08 21:04:53 DEBUG POSTPROCESSER :: Starting new thread: POSTPROCESSER
Apr-08 21:04:53 ERROR POSTPROCESSER :: Automatic post-processing attempted but dir doesn't exist
What dir does not exist? The download dir is the default "downloads/complete/tv" and the shows directory is at a different drive.
Would it be possible to have a "walk through" by any chance?
By all means, it's an amazing piece of software, and it'll be perfect as long as post-processing works
Ps: Latest source. Downloaded today. osx.
Thanks!

The log you posted is from the automatic post processer which is completely separate from post processing in SAB. There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding exactly what that option means, I need to rename it or something.
Automatic post-processing = Sick Beard scans your "TV Download Dir" every 10 minutes and automatically post-processes whatever it finds. In this case, your "TV Download Dir" is empty so it just does nothing. There's no reason to have this enabled if you have SAB calling the post-processing script on its own.
What does sab say in the history of a post-processing attempt?

What does your actual SAB history say though? The output of the post-processing script will be there (but not in your log for some reason).

This is some kind of mac-specific SAB error, somebody reported it before but I can't find it now. Search the SAB forums and you'll probably find an answer... it was something to do with the environment variables being messed up.
