Slow unpacking after upgrading to OS X 10.9

Assuming SABnzbd is available for the NAS and works with an acceptable performance.
But given the right conditions, it would solve the problem.

Of course :)
The alternative is to use NFS or even AFP if the NAS provides it, bypassing SMBX which is what Apple replaced SAMBA with since 10.7
