Make sure you have NOT checked :
Create metadata
If checked Sick Beard will create nfo files
for all your media
Create images
If checked Sick Beard will create tbn/fanart/posters
for all your media
They are under config / General.
If you wnar just the jpg for the show , download it from thetvdb .. that is what I do for missing / new shows

All of my downloads in Sab come back with this: Trying to fetch NZB from
http://www.nzbsrus.com/nzbdownload_rss. ... 39/192470/
Of course the ID's are different and there's a hash at the end... this happens for nzbsrus and nzbmatrix, as well as bin-req.
I'm not sure exactly what's going on here or how to diagnose it. Any help?

Since my update to 452 yesterday it wont download anything now, missed a few shows overnight.
I tried to force a backlog and nothing, even tried with one it grabbed yesterday before the update (deleted the file) but still nothing.
Code: Select all
Jun-03 08:49:51 INFO BACKLOG :: Searching Bin-Req for Firefly - s01e14 - The Message
Jun-03 08:49:51 DEBUG BACKLOG :: cache.db: SELECT time FROM lastUpdate WHERE provider = ? with args ['binreq']
Jun-03 08:49:51 DEBUG BACKLOG :: Last update was too soon, using old cache
Jun-03 08:49:51 DEBUG BACKLOG :: cache.db: SELECT * FROM binreq WHERE tvdbid = 78874 AND season = 1 AND episodes LIKE '%|14|%' AND quality = 3
Jun-03 08:49:51 DEBUG BACKLOG :: Cache results: []
Jun-03 08:49:51 INFO BACKLOG :: Unable to find NZB for Firefly - s01e14 - The Message
Jun-03 08:50:01 DEBUG BACKLOG :: Setting the last backlog in the DB to 733926
Jun-03 08:50:01 DEBUG BACKLOG :: sickbeard.db: SELECT * FROM info
Jun-03 08:50:01 DEBUG BACKLOG :: sickbeard.db: UPDATE info SET last_backlog=733926
Any ideas whats causing this, I copied the files over apart from the db one, so had to add all mt shows again, but all the settings before the update are the same. Checked all the hash codes, API numbers etc all are correct.

NZBrus you need to deliver to blackhole
Nzbmatrix you need to send to sab

So you can't have both enabled at the same time? That's a bummer. Blackhole/sabnzbd isn't configurable per search engine. At least not in the git pull I just did. Any workaround?

Can sickbeard find the files elsewhere? I enabled those so that SB would look nice, and quit complaining about missing nfo files. I just filtered them in MythTV so they don't confuse people, but not having them in there at all would be better. Having someplace else for SB to store them would work great for me if it needs this data.

Ok, but that doesn't seem to explain why all sites are doing this and nothing is downloaded. I've currently got the config set to send to SAB... so in theory NZBMatrix should at least be working, but it's not.
But either way, that being the case, as the poster above already said - you can only have on active at a time? That seems just plain silly - what if one site doesn't get the NZB, or get it in a timely fashion. There's been plenty of times, in the case of Newzbin vs NZBMatrix, that NZBMatrix has something that Newzbin doesn't or vice versa. I suspect the same for NZBsRUS and NZBMatrix as well.

What does snatched mean? I have set up Bin-Req and it says an episode is snatched

Indeed it is bummer , but if you would have read all post .. then you wold have known ;-)
This is how it works at this moment .. maybe midgetspy knows a way around it now or in the future.
I use all except nzbmatrix , and so far I am missing no tv-shows.
----
I know that they are working on the API of NZBMatrix , so not sure if that can be the problem.
Wat are the SB or Sabnzbd+ logs telling you when it is at fetching.....
---
about nfo files
What I do is enable this when I add a new show .. then it downloads the nfo & pictures .. and after that I disable it again.
At least I then ahve the show nfo & pictures

Just to clear up some stuff mentioned above:
1) The "Trying to fetch..." is a SAB bug. It has nothing to do with specific providers, it is a generic SAB problem. It is supposedly fixed in 0.5.3RC1. For earlier versions the workaround is to restart your SAB with those entries still in the queue and they should start downloading.
2) There is no reason that NZBMatrix needs to be used direct to SAB (at least none that I know of). It should work fine with black hole. The only provider that has a limitation is Bin-Req - it MUST use black hole. This is because of a different SAB bug which shypike also said would be fixed in 0.5.3 (unrelated to the bug above).
3) Sick Beard requires tvshow.nfo files, it must have one for every show. This is a limitation that will go away soon (
http://code.google.com/p/sickbeard/issues/detail?id=184). The tvshow.nfo file is not related at all to the metadata setting, it is needed regardless. If you want SB to "look nice" all you need to do is to leave a folder.jpg in each folder, the per-episode tbn/nfos are not required in any way by SB.
Snatched means it downloaded the NZB and is waiting for your client to download the actual file.

Thanks for the info midgetspy. I'm really liking SB in general, the only thing I would change right now is where the jpg/nfo/tbn files live. I'd like to just have a metadata directory it stores them in, leaving just videos in the SAB complete/TV tree. It's not a big deal, just something that would be nice.
Many thanks for SB man, it works great overall. I really like the ability to just do a git pull to update.
One more thing for the "would be nice eventually" queue, adding a show and having SB auto-create a directory for it rather than having to do it myself. Or is that already in there?

Yes, it will already create show dirs when you add a show.
Why would you want the nfo/tbn files in a different folder? Why not just turn them off? The only file you need is tvshow.nfo, (and folder.jpg if you want the poster), all the other tbn/nfo files are totally optional.

I seem to be having a problem with the auto-create directory.
I get this error when I add a show: Show dir doesn't exist and I'm unable to create it
All the other TV shows in that directory added fine - though I added them all en mass instead of individually. I'm trying to add another show individually and it's giving me that error. Logs are of no help - they don't even indicate that an error occurred.
The directory exists and it's writable by the user that's running SB - and as I said, the other shows in that directory went fine, so permissions are no problem.
*EDIT* Hmm, just tried adding it without an absolute path and it works. However, that brings up a problem - the absolute path is generally required for adding a show, since it seems to me that typically SB isn't going to live in your TV Shows directory. There should be a configuration option to set the default path for TV Shows, so that you don't have to enter the absolute path when entering a new TV Show.

2 reasons:
1) (Most important for me) is that I don't like having to track down the posters manually every time I add new content. Right now you either have to take all of the images (the tbn files and the content.jpg) or none of them. I think it would be much cleaner for people in my situation if you added an option to just grab the poster .jpg (just another checkbox in the list of metadata).
2) Somewhat less important - I have a networked bluray player that doesn't handle metadata gracefully. It lists everything in the directory and the metadata files confuse people who are not technical and who want to come over and look around at the collection. I *also* have several xmbc-based systems attached to the network (Boxee, MythTV) that can use the metadata reasonably well. In the case of Boxee it has its own metadata system so I can do with out - but it would be nice and clean and graceful to add an option to store the metadata elsewhere so systems that can use it effectively do so - and those that don't handle it gracefully don't have to see it.
ps: I think the forum rules prevent me from referring to exactly what I mean when I say the poster.jpg and the content.jpg etc - I mean the main poster that would apply to all the underlying content in that directory... (eyeroll at forced vague terminology, sorry - but you get my point I think?)

Ok, so I've found a show that seems to be listed in sometimes the XxXX format, and sometimes in the SXXEXX format. While I prefer and use the SXXEXX format, the show isn't always indexed in the SXXEXX format and is only indexed in the XxXX format. SB doesn't find it show when it's indexed in XxXX format. Could we perhaps search for the other format when it doesn't find it in the first preferred format?
