NZB Completion Checker?

Would be great if there was an option for SABnzbd to check the completion of the NZB before trying to download?

Perhaps less than 99% complete the job could then be automatically paused if there are any missing articles and left to user to decide to continue?

This completion checker works decently, but would be great if one was built into sab.

Is there any news on this?

I know there is an option in the queue to pause or abort downloading as soon as a password protected RAR file is unpacked but is there an option of checking BEFORE downloading? This would save time, money and bandwidth.

Any way of tying sabnzbd to a third party offering such as NZB Completion Checker (though preferably one which works on a Mac or Linux box)

What news???

Many versions ago a pre-download check was introduced, only recommended for extreme caps.
Some time ago the option "Abort jobs that cannot be completed" in Config->Switches was introduced.
You might want to keep track of the release notes.

I saw the options, but I'm not sure they are working.

Couchpotato is grabbing movie nzbs that are password protected and sabnzbd downloads the entire thing. Had Sickbeard grab a couple TV shows as well :(

I have the option set to abort, but I've also tried pause and neither seems to matter.

Detection of encrypted posts is a completely different option.
By definition it cannot be perfect, because there are too many tricks to hide encryption initially.

sab should check the first rar file and if it detects another rar inside....cancel or stop.. recently ive wasted a lot of bandwidth downloading these files that want you to run some spam executable to run a so called codec file.
or rar within a rar which is encrypted.

why hasn't sab been updated for ages?

set "rar" as unwanted extension, as of sab 0.7.18rc1

SABnzbd already tries to do this, if enabled in Config->Switches.
Just looking for RAR is tricky, because some posts contain a small RAR files with subtitles.
