Sorry to report that after updating to 0.7.0Beta6 a download using generic sorting finished and the .nomedia file was still left behind.
Let me know what info you'd like off my installation to help fix this.

Where is the file left behind and which kind of Sorting do you use?
The sort expression would be useful too.

It's left alongside the video file.
I've uploaded a screenshot to my Dropbox with series and movie sorting settings:

Can you set logging level to Debug and look for lines like this in the log?
TIMESTAMP::DEBUG::[misc:???] Moving. Old path:d:\long_folder_path\.nomedia new path:d:\other_long_folder_path\.nomedia unique?:False

That's weird it seems to be ok now
I tested two downloads, a TV program (the one I thought I spotted the file left over with) and a random movie that wasn't too big to test with. Neither left the file behind.
I did spot with the movie as I was watching the main folder I could see the download's sub-folder but also a .nomedia alongside it.
The logs only showed one line with .nomedia for that download:
Code: Select all
2012-05-18 13:01:14,112::DEBUG::[misc:782] Moving. Old path:\\mediaserver\Multimedia\Video\Movies\.\Journey 2- The Mysterious Island (2012)\.nomedia new path:\\mediaserver\Multimedia\Video\Movies\.nomedia unique?:False
I'll keep monitoring it when I hopefully do some more downloads this weekend.

I made the sweep for .nomedia file a bit wider (in the next Beta) and added some logging.
That should be enough.
Thanks for checking.

have the same issue that sometimes the_unpack_ folder is not removed, only containing the .nomedia file.
i'm not using sorting at all. Simple downloads without post processing, fed from spotweb.

Odd, I'm working on this issue, so I'll test that scenario too.
BTW: no post-processing? So, no par2 repair and no unpack?

ehm, yeah normal post postprocessing in that case. no custom post processing script i meant.
grab an nzb containing a .wav file .e.g. and those will stay behind (at least under linux)
will pm you a link to a nzb to test

I am having the same problems. The log shows:
