IMDB Rating and Description in Newzbin - nzbstatus compatible

I did build a script for https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/748 avaiable on http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/33755 which shows IMDB rating as number and descriptions. Its nzbstatus compatible and minimalistic.

combined with http://forums.sabnzbd.org/index.php?topic=59.0 its a killer app :)

Have fun

Hello,

First off, awesome script.

1) I had to add http*://www.newzbin.com/* in GreaseMonkey, under INCLUDED PAGES to make it work with newzbin's website.

2) All i see are the descriptions, and not the ratings, from IMDB.

Thanks for the update, here are some suggestions...

Maybe it would be better to start the rating, and info, BELOW the movie title, on it's own line.
Also, maybe change the color of the rating to something other than blue or grey, to differentiate it from the title or info.

Great work !

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

This is EXACTLY the feature I have been wanting on Newzbin for so many years. It actually annoys me on a daily basis that I have to click on an external link to get the IMDB score (I do this for almost every movie I consider) and this is going to be huge for me.

I had been using cool iris to get this info previously (which at least prevented me from having to navigate away from newzbin) but this is the final piece for me as far as newzbin is concerened.

You are officially my hero for the day :)

Hey all, i added some new cool features. Now also allows you to filter good and/or bad movies. Settings are also saved.

28/10/2008:
* added imdb rating filter
* added update detection
* added saved settings

Will work on a better homepage and improve design once i have time again.

Ok, I have to write another line right away after realizing what has changed:

Awesome!!! It's a must-have.

edit: One small thing I would change though... you give the option of showing the german titles.
Make it so that it doesn't show the same title twice when they're the same in both languages.

Would be nice with an option to hide/show the descriptions since they take up alot of space in your search queries. Nice idea and script!

Hello there, got a strange problem cant get this to work on my other comps. Did "install" it on my game comp and wanted to get it on my movie comp also but i can´t seam to get it to work.
After i install it it just shows a line in the upper right corner with the text "imdb script settings show/hide"
and when i click that the rate good/bad movie selection comes up just.
Anyone who knows what i´m doing wrong worked just fine on the 1st comp i installed it on...
