Replace File switch.

I requested this over in the beta forum, but wanted to request it properly on the Feature Request forum.

The suggestion is to have a custom or advanced swich to allow "file replacements".

Right now I can have FILEXYZ.MKV and if I download a higher quality version (or a proper version), it gets saved as FILEXYZ.1.MKV. The idea is to have SABnzbd transparently replace the file with a different one, so users will not have to mess with their media players (for example XBMC), having to delete the old version manually, clean-up the library, and refresh the information.

I have two examples:

1. Proper releases. Sometimes they are releases within minutes, sometimes a couple of hours after you already downloaded the original file. Since several people use RSS to automatically download, they end up with two copies of these show.
2. Archive releases. Some people like to download WEB-DL versions when they're available (1+ days after) to replace the original versions downloaded. They also end up with two copies of every show.

I don't see it as a extremely difficult functionaly to add, but I assume there must be lots of other to-do things on the queue. Hopefully users can comment on this thread (besides me), so some additional weight or importance can be added to such a functionality.

Thanks a lot and keep up the great work.

I think this would be very useful when using RSS feeds. Every week I'm downloading 2 copies of shows here or there when a proper is released a short time later. I'm finding that I have to manually deleted the undesired copy. If Sabnzbd had this function it would be a time saver.

I hope others will see that this would be useful.

I second this. The less time I spend manually editing my library the better.

Yeah, forgot that one, didn't make it on the todo list.
A "special" option is relatively easy to make.

Thank you. That would be very helpful.
