I am using 0.7.4RC2 on Debian Sid.
I have several rss feeds and one in particular is very slow at opening from the web page. (we are talking MINUTES)
It has 17 items in it, is this too much? Should I split it into several feeds?
EDIT: just checked another and it has 30 with no problems, so why this particular one? Is there any testing I can do on it? Only difference is the server it checks but that should not be an issue to edit it

Isn't just the access of the feed slow?
Cut and paste the feed URL into your browser. How long does it take to see the result?

Its just the opening of the rss feed to add/modify the results. i.e. clicking on the NAME not the read feed or edit buttons.
I can open the rss feed from the bookmarks toolbar in FF in a few seconds.

Are there many items in the feed or does the content change fast over time?
In a (much) earlier version we had a problem with a naive way of dealing with large amounts of RSS elements.
It has been improved, but there's always a way to overload a system.

I don't think it is particulary busy.

I changed the number of results from 250 to 100 to match the rest but it still takes ages to open it to ammend the list
Update: thats it just opened it 2MINUTES.
Up2: just cheked another set that uses the same provider, it opens quickly & has 21 tests.

It is also using 100% cpu when opening this test.
I think I will delete the feed and recreate it.

Re-creation of the same feed allows it to open fine, must have been a corrupt file some where.

I had a look at it.
The feed processing is a bit sluggish.
However, the problem may be that it accumulates items over time.
"Old" entries are kept for a few days to prevent the effect that a brief problem
with the content of the feed, may make SABnzbd think that there are a bunch of new items.
If it becomes slow again, can you copy the file rss_data.sab from the admin folder
and email that to [email protected] (zipped please) ?

BTW That was a resonably new one I setup only about 4months old. The rest are older.

It could be file corruption, of course; or some bug.
However, a search feed like yours tends to have a higher data turnover.
