It would be really great to have Pushover notification support. It would be nice to be able to individually select things like download added, download complete, and download failed.

Judging from what SickBeard supports, there are about 20 different notification services.
Adding those is not a priority, there's so much more to be done.
Other than that, we prefer to support open source solutions and not commercial ones.
You'll have to manage with the script you already discovered

Keeping open source makes sense.
I do have another minor request, but i don't know the appropriate place to make it. Right now if you are running SABnzbd on Windows it will not allow you to choose scripts from the Categories drop down menu that don't end in .bat or .cmd. Any chance that can be changed so that you can select any file in the Post-Processing scripts folder?

SABnzbd will show any file with an extension that is registered as executable.
In fact, the PATHEXT environment variable is used for this.
E.g. if you install Python properly the .py extension will be registered.

I understand it's no priority, just throwing my $.02 in there in support of adding pushover.
Thanks!
