Running SABnzbd In VM & Can't Write To Network Shares

I'm running SABnzbd in a Windows virtual machine and I can't write to a network share. I mapped the share to Z:\ because I read that I can't use UNC paths. I changed the service to run under a user that has admin rights and write access to the network share but when I add the path and save in SABnzbd, it doesn't save the changes I make. I can create and delete folders/files from within explorer.

Did I missing something? I know this is possible but I don't have something setup correctly. Any help will be appreciated.

You cannot use a share as temporary download folder,
because you need a drive letter.
Services can only use UNC paths, not drive letters.
For the complete folder, you can use a UNC path.

Thanks again. So can I leave the service to run under Local System?

Local system will not allow any network share access at all.
You need a "real" user account for that.
