Hi all, just got a new NAS unit and having some trouble setting up Sabnzbs on it:
I've tried the packages on here
http://packages.synocommunity.com/
but python wont run it just says "not available" when i try.

I then tried using the official Python release but Sabnzbd, CouchPotato and Sickbeard wont install because its a different version of python.
I tried one of the mertymade versions as well but that didn't work either

can anyone give me some advice here please?

Hey,

First, just so you know, Python doesn't run, it's just files needed to run Sab and other softwares built with Python.

So, then, you need to uninstall every python packages you have installed. That means also making sure that there is no python folder left in /usr/local/ (you'll have to login in SSH on your DS to check that). Also uninstall sab, CP, and SB if they are still installed, and delete those folders if they are still there in /usr/local/ (ssh again)

Then, from the SynoCommunity Packages, install Python, Sab, CP, SB.
From there it's pretty much configuration stuff.
