Having a problem with a lot of nzbs.. I've tried 3 different indexes for files to try this out. Basically, I load an NZB up, shows up fine, but I get either 0 or very very low download rate, something like 20+ years ETA, but the progress bar is moving like I have 100mbps (unfortunately I don't). As soon as the download reaches 100% on screen (even though it's realistically only at about 1%), it will hang for an hour or so before finally failing. As I said, I've tried this with multiple sites to see if maybe it was the files. Some of the things I download from those sites work, others fail as above. Tried searching for some terms on the forum and didn't come up with anything.. I haven't really messed with any of the settings in SAB, so I don't know what could be causing it... any help is appreciated, thank you.

Has anything downloaded after that time?
The most likely cause is that the post has been removed from the server.
The hang is odd and could be caused by SABnzbd itself, but also
by the server.

Yea, I sort of subconsciously ruled out the post because sometimes it will just be a couple rar files and other times it will be a large portion of the whole download before it inevitably fails. Regardless though, the download fails before everything can be completed and by that point sab can't repair it. Is it possible for a post to be removed but some of the file locations still exist? I don't claim to know exactly how all this works lol, I only started into it 3 days ago.

As Shypike says: probably not available on server (anymore).

Two tips:
Turn on "Check before download" in Config -> Switches
Do the test as described on http://forums.sabnzbd.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12666

Yes, sometimes the par2 files are not removed, because they're useless on their own.
I'm afraid you entered the Usenet world at a moment that it has a hard time.
At least for specific content.

I'm having similar issues....but many things download fine if I just use a program like GrabIt instead of SAB. Currently downloading at 1900 kb/sec in that program....but the file in SAB was bouncing between 50 and 300 kb/sec and is now just sitting at 0

Are you using the exact same NZB files in Grabit and SABnzbd?
If so I would like to receive one or more sample NZB files.

So I need an NZB that works OK in Grabit, but not in SABnzbd.

Same thing here. Shypike had advised a while ago to try the following but it isn't working this time. SAB starts off at 3KB and slowly drops to 0 and on the status page it shows that the connection has timed out. Same NZB in Grabit works fine. I'm using the same usenet servers and ports in both apps.

This was the suggestion Shypike provided back in November when I first noticed the problem.

When your queue is empty, stop SABnzbd and start it once like this:
WindowsKey-R, then type:
"c:\program files (x86)\sabnzbd\sabnzbd.exe" --clean
or, for a 32bit OS:
"c:\program files (x86)\sabnzbd\sabnzbd.exe" --clean[/code]
Enter.
Include the quotation marks.
