Rename unpacked files like the nzb name?

Since the DMCA takedowns, posters give their uploaded movies random filenames, containing numbers and letters, to fool the usenetservers.
I appreciate that, this way we can still download our movies and tv shows.

However, this also brings up a problem with renaming the files.
The files inside the nzb are the same as the nzb filename, which results in a problem with (in my case) xbmc to scrape the metadata.
I tried to rename the nzb file to the name of the movie, but after checking and unpacking, the filename is stil the scrambled name, and not like the name i have given the nzb.
I have enabled generic sorting in the settings, and i use %title (%y).%ext

I hope somebody can help me out so that everything will process the way it did before again.

Have you enabled one or more categories in Generic Sorting?
And are you assigning such a category to your movie job?

Also, renaming for files will only work for mkv style files (so payload in one large file
with possibly some secondary small files).
It won't work for DVD images.

List your exact Sort settings.

I enabled more categories, don't know if this should be actually?
I have taken some screenshots with my settings, but i cannot find an option to post this in the thread?

We solved a problem in Sorting (for 0.7.11) which may explain your issue.

I just noticed the realease of 0.7.11.
Installed it and right now i'm downloading a movie to test.
Downloading the same movie i downloader eralier today, with 0.7.10, which failed to rename it properly.
So i will await my download, will take about 20 minutes. I will report here as soon as the download (and post processing) is ready!

Could you please explain what you ticked off in your settings to make this work?
Pretend I'm a potato, and be as detailed as you can :p
I don't want to use allot of bandwidth to test different settings.

This is EXACTLY what I want/need for XBMC to work properly again :)

Thanks.

Edit: Also, is it possible to include releasegroup names? I saw some examples, but they only included movie name, release year, disc 1/2 etc, and extension. Releasegroup names are really helpful when downloading subtitles..

I saw one option in the examples, Original Filename %fn filename, does this mean the original filename of the .mkv, because that wouldn't make sense. Or is it the original filename of the .nzb? Please explain.

Edit2:
In short, I want sabnzbd to rename all movies the EXACT same name as the .nzb.
It seems to extract the folders with the .nzb names, so it shouldn't be to hard to make it extract the files with the .nzb name as well, right?

Disable Config->Special->enable_meta
(Enabling it will let SABnzbd use the corrected names that indexers insert in their NZB or HTTP headers).

Nope, didn't work.
Disabled "enable_meta", but still the same.
Did a test with the tv series Girls.

Foldername:
Girls.S04E06.HDTV.x264-KILLERS-NZBgeek

Filename:
2ok8MvETVqsLRXxS88LwdloVN1df89847zwJki54V.mp4

What is your Sort expression?

I'm having the exact same problem. Every unpacked tv show has a filename of random text, with the correct extension.

I've tried enable_meta on/off but no effect.

I have no sorting configured.

In the nzb itself, it referenes the individual rar files, each of which are named with the random string. For example, the unrar is resulting in LDJMppw0UTQSCgzEPZo3IePuqZ3qM1AVz7zArW8H4zHsX933pjBVDBTPlwR8Lkr.mkv, and the indivdual files are also named this.

<file poster="poster" date="1450120653" subject="LDJMppw0UTQSCgzEPZo3IePuqZ3qM1AVz7zArW8H4zHsX933pjBVDBTPlwR8Lkr [02/30] - "LDJMppw0UTQSCgzEPZo3IePuqZ3qM1AVz7zArW8H4zHsX933pjBVDBTPlwR8Lkr.part01.rar" yEnc (1/21)">

</groups>
<segments>
......
</segments>
</file>

update: thanks to shypike who directed me to the wiki. I used tv sorting pattern of "%s.n.s%0s.e%0e.%ext" to get what I want for most TV. However, it didn't work for a recent episode of "The tonight show with Jimmy Fallon". sabnzbd must not think that this was a tv show? Not sure how to get around this...

What was the exact title of the NZB?
Also, did it have a category that was enabled for TV Sort?

nzb name: "The.Tonight.Show.Starring.Jimmy.Fallon.2015.12.07.Claire.Danes.720p.HDTV.x264-aAF.nzb"

Here's the header. Is the category "TV > HD"? Could this be the issue? FWIW..I tried editing this value to just "TV". Same issue.

<head>
<meta type="category">TV > HD</meta>
<meta type="name">The.Tonight.Show.Starring.Jimmy.Fallon.2015.12.07.Claire.Danes.720p.HDTV.x264-aAF</meta>
<meta type="propername">The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon</meta>
</head>
