Hi, i have a question about the cache settings if anyone can help please?
I wouldn't consider my laptop slow as such, its a year or two old now but is still not to bad, 2.4ghz i5 CPU, 8gb ram etc.. anyway, sometimes my sabnzbd will really slow my whole laptop to the point where theres a big lag switching tabs in firefox or just takes a long time opening other apps etc..
it doesn't do it all the time, its more noticeable if my download it pretty big.
I noticed that the cache limit is set to 200mb, i didn't set this, does the installation set this when it determines how much ram you have, and sets what it thinks is best?
is this better at a different number or disabled?
i was assuming the issue was probably something to do with the cache maybe?
thanks
james

Re: Cache Question
Slowness of Firefox is a Firefox issue.
Your hardware is more than enough.
The optimal cache size is determined by the average file size that you download.
That is, not the total size of the job, but the individual RAR files.
200 MB should be enough.
