SABnzbd downloads at only 2.9MB/s

Any ideas why it limits at 2.9MB/s??

There can be lots of reasons.
ISP, Usenet provider, using WiFi, slow hardware etc.

SABnzbd does not limit itself to 2.9 MB/s; I have reached 20 MB/s with SABnzbd running on moderate hardware (i3 Core) and a 300 Mbps FttH line.

However, SABnzbd is limited by factors outside of SABnzbd: your CPU, your OS, your network & Internet connection, your Newsserver plan.

Easy test: get and run NZBget (or Grabit), and see what speed it gets. And if that speed seems 10 times higher, you're probably mixing up MB/s versus Mbps. ;)

It is definitely 2.9 MB/s. My download speed from my ISP is 100mbps, or 12.5 MB/s. I am getting 12 MB/s when I do a speedtest. My news server is tweaknews. From them I am allowed 100 mbps.

And tell what system you're running SABnzbd on: CPU and RAM. On an Atom or some other low spec CPU (like in NAS-devices) you won't get high speed with SABnzbd.

What is so wrong with SABnzbd+ ? That tells me the download speed?

If you think SABnzbd is so wrong, have you considered to stop using it?

Just used NZB Vortex. I get 11MB/s with it. The problem is definitely with SABnzbd. Can someone please help.
