So has anybody figured this out?

I download all my shows using sabnzbd, Great program by the way!! anyways it automatically renames all my files appropriately as long as the file follows Show.Name.s01e13.720.x264 format but what do you do about shows that don't follow this format?

For example:

The Daily Show
File: The.Daily.Show.12.11.2008.PDTV.XviD-aAF
Result: ~/TV/The.Daily.Show.12.11.2008.PDTV.XviD-aAF/The.Daily.Show.12.11.2008.PDTV.XviD-aAF.avi

While the proper result, according to www.thetvdb.com, would be:
Result: ~/TV/The Daily Show/Season 13/The Daily Show S13E160.avi

Now personally I could careless what the file is named like, as long as its properly scraped in Plex.

I think this would be a problem with any show that happens on a daily basis, any ideas?

Thanks.

0.5 will have support for sorting files named with a date, however it's not going to convert it into s01e01 format.

It is up to Plex to support scraping date based media. TheTVDB now supports it, and I believe it has been added or will be added to XBMC shortly, so it should eventually make it's way to Plex.

I have noticed some scripts that search thetvdb.com and are able to rename files accordingly, could those be modified to work?

Maybe, I haven't seen the scripts. The scripts need to able use GetEpisodeByAirDate http://www.thetvdb.com/wiki/index.php/A ... eByAirDate
