Saving deleted files "Cleanup List"

Post by lujo »

Hello,

I know that this sound strange. Why deleting files if you want to save it.....

My reason is that when I download something I like to see only this file without .nfo, .jpg, .url or other files.
Because of this my Cleanup List is: sfv, nfo, nzb, par2, url, txt, jpg, bpm, png, gif, tiff

Example:
Most of the times .nfo, or other file, does not contain important information but sometimes it does.
For those times that there is important information in one of the deleted files if should be nice if we can use those deleted files.

My request is to give user choice which files he wants to delete and which he wants to replace to another folder:
- nfo, jpg = replace to eg "Junk"
- nzb, par2 = delete those files

Or instead of deleting those files replacing it to folder eg. "Junk" and set a timer that SABnzbd delete this folder every: day, week, month, year....

Can this be implemented in the next version?

This is too much a special need.
Typically implemented by a user's post processing script.
(See: http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/user-scripts )

BTW: asking the user questions at post-processing time is not feasible.
SABnzbd is an automation tool which should not have user interaction if not absolutely needed.

Very quick answer, thanks shypike.
I think you understand me wrong. I am not asking for option that SABnzbd needs to ask user if it should delete or replace those files.
I am asking for automated task, same as Cleanup List, but insted of deleting those files I want to replace it to another folder.

Tuning:
- Cleanup List
- Replacing List

It should be very nice if it is easy to implement.

Pitty enough I don't have knowledge to write script to replace those files.
