Simple : HTTP Server root redirection to /sabnzbd/

sabnzbd runs its own webserver (a practice im starting to hate, i have 4 bloody http servers on my box now ::)  ) anyways...

When directing a browser to the webserver the root shows a blank page. If your going to run your own webserver why would its root not direct to the only thing on it?
Seems kind of silly.

Besides that fantastic application!

Thanks
Loto

It was the decision of the previous developer, and we've never really had a compelling reason to make the change. I suppose it makes distinguishing sabnzbd's url's much easier. If you came across urls to your four http servers it would be obvious which one was sabnzbd.

Having the root of the webserver blank is a confusing issue though and I agree with you there. Especially on linux installs that don't automatically open the browser, it may not be obvious what url to access sabnzbd is. I think automatic redirection to /sabnzbd/ shouldn't be to hard, I'll look into it for 0.5 or later.

I kind of don't like this either... BUT, I think its good for security. If people are scanning ports for a HTTP service (and other stuff), they will find it... and then just see a blank page being served.
