Twitter DM notifications

Can we get support for Twitter 1.1 API notifications.
I would like to see DM Direct Message or @Mention support.
I would prefer written into the program, but if anyone can create a script that could work too.
Anyone up for the challenge?
I seen an old thread of someone that created one back on API1.0 that no longer works and the thread is abandoned.
I am also running windows version so must be Windows SabNZBd compatible.
