Could the history be enhanced to include the groups that were used to process the queue item?

To keep thing simple just check the first or first few lines.

(e.g. <group>this bit</group> from the nzb file)

Can you explain why this is useful?

I would use it is to find the more popular groups for manual searching and finding my most used groups.

I wasn't aware that people still did group-based searches.
BTW: the groups are listed in the NZB file, often there are multiple groupd and SABnzbd just picks the first one it sees.
Normally it doesn't even send the group name to the server, because very few still require this.
Having it in the report will have very little added value for 99.9% of the people.
