clean up and reinstall sab on ubuntu server

I can't start nzbdplus as a service. I think it's because I deleted /etc/init.d/sabnzbdplus. I did a reinstall, but it doesn't recreate those files. Is there a place I can get new ones? Or make the install create them again?

When I run sabnzbd as 'drew', I get an X11 error. When I run it as root, it seems to start. I get this:

I've completely boned up this installation!

I was following some other instructions that did something else... I tried to undo that installation, now I'm stuck with nothing - of course.

I'm on Ubuntu server Precise 12.04.4 LTS. I do have an X11 GUI installed (windows remote desktop), but am setting up this server via ssh from my windows. I think I tried to install sabnzbdplus via the Ubuntu Software Manager earlier. Anyhow, here's where I'm at now.

add-apt-repository ppa:jcfp/ppa
apt-get update
apt-get install sabnzbdplus

when I run sabnzbdplus from command line as user 'drew' I get:

I tried running "xhost +" before hand like you'd suggested here, but I get " xhost: unable to open display "" "

I did edit the /etc/default/sabnzbdplus file with:

I tried to uninstall the package with an

Then in an effort to be more helpful, removed /etc/init.d/sabnzbdplus
