Sourceforge link to latest versions being updated?

Hello,

A script I use to automatically update my SAB install checks the most recent version (beta and release) using this SF link: http://sabnzbdplus.sourceforge.net/version/latest

Is this a good method to continue using? If so, is there normally a delay in updating this link for new versions?

We usually wait one or two days before updating the link.
