Hello there,
Im a bit new at this, so sorry if this is too noob a question :-)
But i´ve been searching the web for post about sfv, since i keep getting errors on it.
Yesterday i tried downloading this NZB:
https://www.oznzb.com/details/e790a118f ... f277677dfc
And it fails.
Now what i am unsure of is, is it my setup that is wrong?
Or is the NZB to blame?
New releases are not a problem to download, usually just older episodes that annoys me.
I am running Raspbian on Raspberry Pi.
I have upgraded SABNZB to 0.7.18.
And i use giganews.com.
So i hope someone can help me, by either trying to download the same NZB and see if it actually works or tell me what to look at :-)
Kind regards,
LauW
SFV verification fails
Re: SFV verification fails
Does the NZB file also contain (or rather describe) par2 files?
If not, or when par2 verification fails, SABnzbd will try instead any accompanying SFV file.

Re: SFV verification fails
Hi there,
Yes it contains both sfv and par2 files.
I just tried it with a new release which gives me error as well.
https://www.oznzb.com/details/700ffc4aa ... 5c1d29f5bb
Which includes these files:

Re: SFV verification fails
Right... done some more testing and found out this.
SABnzbd can download this NZB - https://www.oznzb.com/details/700ffc4aa ... 64-IMMERSE on Windows.
But not on my Raspberry PI.
When i check settings, versions and so on... it all matches.
Except that i run a newer version of Python on the Raspberry PI.
The error message on PI is as following:
Trying SFV verification
Some files failed to verify against "204944.sfv"
true.blood.s7e09.720p.hdtv.x264-immerse.r00
true.blood.s7e09.720p.hdtv.x264-immerse.r01
true.blood.s7e09.720p.hdtv.x264-immerse..... all the way down to true.blood.s7e09.720p.hdtv.x264-immerse.r31 and true.blood.s7e09.720p.hdtv.x264-immerse.rar

Re: SFV verification fails
This could be caused by case sensitivity.
Uploaders often aren't careful with casing of file names.
On case-sensitive platform this may give problems.
The only "solution" is to disable the sfv check.
Usually, when par2 verification fails, using sfv files won't solve the problem
because the files are damaged anyway.

Re: SFV verification fails
This issues is fixed now,
we worked with LauW and found the problem on his Raspberry PI.
Well would you look at that.
Files on my Raspberry Pi broke, so had to restore my backup.
My backup was on my Desktop PC, which HDD faulted due to a bug and had to be wiped.
So! Back to scratch...
Got Raspbian installed, updated and ready to go.
Install SAB and updated to newest.
Followed your instructions with unrar non free.
Downloaded the mentioned episode, and guess what? Now it works.
