Post by timofcourse »

Hi there
With the use of multiple servers. Is it possible to see which one was used to download specific articles?

Thanks!

That's simply not feasible, given that most downloads consist of thousands of articles.
Release 0.8.0 will show how much data each server contributed.

If SAB knows how much data is downloaded from each server, why would it not be possible to identify which server a specific article was downloaded from? Knowing this would allow one to determine which servers are "more reliable". For example, if I was able to tell that Server A consistently has reports missing articles and Server B always has those articles, I might come to the decision its not worth paying for Server A.

Thanks!

"A specific article".
How do you envision this?
That SABnzbd shows you a huge list of articles, each line telling from which from server it came?
Allow you to specify an article through its ID?

If you have two primary servers of the same speed, then you would expect 50% for each.
If one delivers less, it's likely of lower quality.
