Disk error on creating file / Long Filenames? [Windows]

Hey Guys -

So I've got SABnzbd set up with all the standard apps, Sonarr, CouchPotato, Headphones, etc... Everything is working great but yesterday I ran into an issue.

My Issue
When searching for some older episodes for a show I enjoy, they were found on Usenet and added to SABnzbd's queue. When starting to download, they pause after a few seconds. If I un-pause the queue, it pauses again automatically. This occurs on any of these 8 specific episodes. When I go to "Status," I get the following error:

ERROR: Disk error on creating file D:\- App Cache -\sabNZBD\Cache\Celebrity.Ghost.Stories.S03E09.Alan.Thicke,.Fairuza.Balk,.Kevin.Pollak.And.Laila.Ali.720p.HDTV.DD5.1.MPEG2-TrollHD\Celebrity Ghost Stories S03E09 Alan Thicke, Fairuza Balk, Kevin Pollak and Laila Ali 720p HDTV DD5.1 MPEG2-TrollHD.nzb

I have over 1tb of free space, all other disk functions seem fine, plus all other usenet downloads operate properly. My only conclusion is that the filenames are much too long.

What I've Tried to Fix Issue
- Changing the destination (via temp category) for the files to a smaller folder (D:\1) - didn't work
- Edited "folder_max_length" in sabnzbd.ini and set it to a lower value. I tried setting it to "15", but each time I restart it goes back to "20" which must be the lowest possible.

The problem is, it seems the file itself is the long part - not just the folder or path. This is frequent, but I've searched for some of these episodes for a long time so just want to download these files as they aren't available anywhere else online. I'm not trying to set anything up for future downloads.

So... is there any way to resolve this or download them manually? I know I cannot change the source, but is there a way in SABnzbd to set what you want a filename to be for a download? Otherwise, I cannot find a single way to get it to work.

Thanks!

Using the limit will trim down the folder names, that should be enough.
Your example path is just 4 characters too long.
File names cannot be trimmed, otherwise the par2 verification/repair won't work.

There won't be a proper solution until 0.8.0 comes out.

I think I'm having a similar issue.

What is the max character length supported?
Disk error on creating file V:\Downloads\- Usenet -\tmp\At.Midnight.With.Chris.Hardwick.2015.02.25.Michael.Ian.Black.Clark.Duke.Kumail.Nanjiani.720p.WEBRip.Aac2.0.x264-MONKEE\At.Midnight.With.Chris.Hardwick.2015.02.25.Michael.Ian.Black.Clark.Duke.Kumail.Nanjiani.720p.WEBRip.AAC2.0.x264-monkee.nzb

For this reason I had to block 'monkee' releases in Sonarr some time ago.
