Hi the other day my my subscription to my primary news server expired. I did not get a mail from them (or could be in my spam folder) but either way the result was Sabnzbd switched to my backup server which has a block amount of space and ended up bleeding it dry.


A very nice to have would the ability for sabnzbd to 'force' pause, with the error and an email notification that the primary server is unreachable. This will prevent the concept of the block fill accounts being depleted if the primary fails or something.

I'll have a look at it.
However, determining whether a primary server is seriously off-line is not straightforward.
When to give up?
