Overwrite Duplicate Filenames

I know this wouldn't be everyone's default behavior, however for me I would prefer when it downloads a duplicate it would overwrite the old one.  Here is my example scenario:

My RSS feed first picks up Lost.S05E11.HDTV.XviD-XOR, about 3 hours later it automatically downloads Lost.S05E11.PROPER.HDTV.XviD-FQM.  In this case it names the new file Lost.S05E11.1.avi (TV Show renaming is enabled).

Is there a way that I can set it up to overwrite Lost.S05E11.avi instead of creating the new file?  There are very few times that I would need to actually have the original file, since the new one will be just as good.

Our policy is to never overwrite existing folders.
I understand your concern, but we like to keep the safe behaviour.
Also we do not want any more options than we already have.

Thanks for the quick reply.  I can understand where you are coming from, and as you said it is the safe behavior.  The problem is I have a lot of files that I don't know about because SABnzbd+ works so well I rarely have to go see what it is doing.  Is there a command I can run from a script that will move all the .1.avi files to just .avi files and I can just add that to my post processing script?

Sure this is possible, but I'm not going to write your script  ;D.
