All output really shows just one thing, the service failing when the upgrade process tries to start it. I don't know what role the "insserv: script ups-monitor: service ups-monitor already provided!" warning plays in that.

You might get the package update to complete if you temporarily "sabotage" the sab service by renaming its settings file beforehand:

Code: Select all

sudo mv /etc/default/sabnzbdplus /etc/default/sabnzbdplus.RENAMED
An internal sanity check will fail very early on in the script, causing it to do nothing but exit while telling the init system everything is fine. To undo the change after completing the upgrade, simply rename the file back to its original name.

Next check if the program works by running it from the terminal (that's a lowercase L and a 2):

Code: Select all

sabnzbdplus -l2
