1.0 Final crashes on launch (OSX 10.11 and OSX 10.9.5)

Post by runartrollet »

Today I upgraded from 7.20 on two computers in my house, with both crashing on launch. I've looked through the forums a bit, but couldn't find any other posts with the same problem. What happens is that it crashes with a dialog "SABnzbd+ Error" and I can choose to "Open Console" or "Terminate"

In the logs I see this (possible problem with signing?):

Log from machine running OS X 10.9.5:

Also reported by other users on Reddit, fixed there by updating latest updates and disabling gatekeeper:

I'll look at this again.
However, the signatures are valid.
What I did notice that the build system I used is based on a Beta version of El Captitan.
So, slightly ahead of the official release.

yes, I should have mentioned that, but as it happened on the other machine too, which is not running a beta OS, I didn't really think of it. I added logs from both machines to my original post. I have also tried a few of the RC-versions, same problem there, though I haven't tried them all. I hope this information helps.

I did try setting "Allow applications downloaded from" to anywhere, as suggested on Reddid-post mentioned in other post, but no luck.

FWIW, I have no issues with 1.0 Final on El Capitan (10.11.3). I did not do anything special.

1.0.1 will be made on a real El Capitan system.
In the mean time consider using the Yosemite version on El Capitan.
