I see this is a really old topic but I don't think it would be wise to start a new topic.
The link mhaahr gave us is not working anymore, this is the new link:

I would really like to see a new version of the add-in since the current one uses 0.4.9.
The newest version of SABnzbd can be found here
http://rosevalley-networks.net/infusion ... php?did=19 this is the RC2 of 0.5.0.

Hi eXisTa, I've produced my own version of this plug-in as mhaahr seems to have gone missing... I can give you a beta to test when its done?

I'm also interested in this beta. Are there any plans to develop for the new WHS that is coming out soon? I've got a copy of VAIL if you need testing done with that. Thanks.

Smidley, there are no details regarding developing Add-Ins for WHS2 - I know it has some kind of online libarary but appart from that no actual details of API's etc. I actually developed this Add-In as Mhaar's was a little buggy for me plus installs an old version of Sab.
If anyones interesting in testing this in return for feedback, could you PM me.
Thanks.

Release 0.6.0 will be able to install itself as a proper Windows Service.
No real need for an add-in. Yes, it would be useful for easier installation,
but I'm not sure it's worth the effort.

That’s great news - the add-in's primary purpose is to provide a WHS tab on the console for controlling\viewing SAB, not installing it as a service (Although this obviously needs to be done for SAB to function on a WHS.

You don't need to do anything special. Just download the installer, install it, and you're done. Copy the link that you use to open Sabnzbd into your Startup folder to start up automatically. Works just fine like that.
And obviously port-forward your WHS at the Sabnzbd port if you want to access it outside your network.
The WHS Console is clunky and slow. Using the default web interface is much easier, faster, and prettier.
