Hi,
I try to start this great programm as a service under Windows Vista. The problem is if I do this I see that no Servers, RSS etc are configured. If I start manually the SABnzbd than I see the whole configuration.
I think I have a probelm with the c:\sabnzbd\sabnzbd.ini! Do I need to save the current configuartion manually in this ini? If yes how to do this under Windows Vista?
Thanks
Cheers

Read this:
http://sabnzbd.wikidot.com/windows-service
Note the -d and -f options.
Services have no access to regular account resources, so you need to tell ut where the INI file is.

I used this guide but still have the issues. Do I have to move the sabnzbd.ini to a different folder like "d:/sabnzbd" for example!?
But if I look in the sabnzbd.ini I see also no Servers specied under:
unbookmark = 0
bookmark_rate = 60
[servers]
[rss]
[categories]
[[unknown]]
newzbin = Unknown
dir = Unknown
Where are this informations stored?

Ok, Now I see the correct sabnzbd.ini in my user folder. I will move "sabnzbd.in" to my local folder in D://. Do I need to move anything else? I expect that if I change some RSS strings for example that this will be stored in the new location?
Thanks

If you do not specify absolute paths for every folder, SABnzbd will assume that
the folders will move with the INI file.
However, it will not move the content of the folders.
The folder cache is the one that holds the administration,
you might want to copy that yourself to the new location.
