Problems with unRAR and Windows 7?

Hi,

I have recently re-installed os to Windows 7 Build 7100 x64 from x32 Windows XP.

On all of my latest downloads I am getting CRC errors when the files are being UnRAR'd, I have manually run QuickPAR and it reports no need to repair files, then if I use WinRAR I also get errors in some of the files, but on using 7zip I can unRar without any issues and then have a working download.

I checked by using the Microsoft Virtual PC XP to see if this would resolve the problems and it does, so it looks like some issue between SABNZBD+ and Windows 7....Now seeing as I can't find anyone else mentioning this on the forum I can only assume its something in my install, so I have tried a fresh install of SABNZBD on my system and again have the same issues....

Any ideas?

Thanks....

I've been running the RC since the day of it's official release and have had none of the problems described.

I know it's not what you want to hear  :(  Sorry

Email a few suspect NZB files to me and I'll test them on My Win7 box (alas only 32bit, not 64 bit).
Add the URL of this thread to the email.

It could still be a hardware or driver issue of your new system. We use the widely available unrar.exe which has had no known problems with windows 7.

I would possibly try dual booting with XP/Vista and seeing if the problem is still their.

I am sure its an issue with Windows 7 x64 - as I mentioned I have tried using Windows Virtual PC running XP and had no issues with the same NZB's....

Not sure what it could be though :(

Have you tried the latest commercial release on WinRar (you can try it shareware)?
Use that to test the unpacking manually.
Have you looked at WinRar's support forum?

As mentioned earlier, I'm using Win 7 64bit flavour and don't have these problems.
Is it possible that your hard drive might be at fault causing the errors in the files?
