2.2.1 DL stays halted even space of temp folder increased again

I'm using SABnzbd on a 'weak' ARM based Cubietruck, with only one HDDs attached via SATA
I tested if putting the temp DLs to another 'disk' (16 GB usb-pen in my test scenario) would improve the performance I notice the following IMHO odd behavior:
As the DL to the temp folder on the usb-pen is faster than the job unpacking the files to the HDD, SABnzdb stops the DL when the temp folders space's gone.
This is fine.
However, while the unpacking job is still working on the queue of the to be unpacked files and the free space on the temp folder increases again, I'm not able to restart the pending DLs!? Even not, if all jobs are done and the temp folder's free space is at it's max again.
The only option I found so far to get the halted DL going again is to restart the SABnzbd process.
I'd have expected that SABnbd would continue with the DLs automatically as soon as there's enough space on the temp folder again.
