Unpacking using 100% disk

Hello I am having a problem as of this morning.
Win 7 ultimate

Sab started downloading shows and when unpacking it uses 100% of the drive and makes the pc useless. Even if I stop sab it continues.
Dose sab use win rar to unpack and could the problem be with winrar?

Thanks

It indeed uses winrar, the latest version.
Sounds like maybe it's a disk or software problem on the device? Like virusscanner maybe?
Try to disable Direct Unpack, and maybe enable Pause download during post processing.
However: on a semi modern desktop, these things shouldn't be a problem. I would suspect a virusscanner or other software to be the problem, they might not trust sabnzbd.

Thanks for your quick response safihre.
I noticed I had an old version when I went to look for direct unpack.
I now have version 2.3.0. Turned off virus program, disabled direct unpack, and enabled pause during post processing.
The disk usage is normal. until sab downloads a show. wile downloading disk is at 100% and there are about 15 sab items writing to disk according to resource monitor.
when download is finished. it takes about 3 minutes to unpack a 1 g show. when finished unpacking the unpacking item in the resource monitor uses 100% disk for another 10 to 15 minutes.
All of this is new today with out any program or hardware changes.

Regards

What do you have set for Article cache on the first page of the Config?
3min for 1gb is really slow..
And the task manager says sabnzbd is the only one accessing the disk?
