Obfuscated file names

Post by NZBeaner »

I've been getting all my media from NG's for over 10 years, but these obfuscated titles which have really come to dominate lately were driving me up the wall. Had been using Newsleecher 6.5 which dl's/repairs/extracts great, but won't rename these DL's. Just got SABnzbd 2.31, seems fine, but it only renames the FOLDER the file is in, with the file title itself still Ob-fuc'd. Is there any to get SABnzbd to ALSO rename the file itself?

There are 2 ways:
Use the included Deobfuscate.py and set it as a Post processing script for your main categories.
Or simpler: enable Sorting, where you use the sorting string:
%dn.%ext
And then set it for the correct Category (Movie Sorting requires the title to be somewhat movie format for example). Which will rename the video file after the job name.
