Simple way to enable/disable autostart

Hi,
i'm using sabnzbdplus (2.3.2) on my raspberry (stretch). Normaly i use an other usenet client with needs less resources. sometimes i have problems with one of my usenet providers with the other provider and i installed sabnzbdplus as second usenet client. but i needs a lot of resources even it doesn't make anything. is there a simple way (means: a script that i can store in the home dir or so) to enable and disable autostart?

half an hour before i checked the used resources of the pi using htop and the program that needed the most cpu power was chromium and sabnzbdplus with over 20% each. but now - after deleting chromium from autostart - i checked it again and sabzbdplus needs only 1 -2%. is this because the first check was directly after starting the pi? needs sabnzbdplus more resources when the device is started?
