do not change permissions - is there a setting for this?

I have a drive mounted in ubuntu as ntfs

I get an error when sabnzbd runs postprocing script of changing permissions

ERROR [postproc] Cannot change permissions of /mounted/drive

i tried to clear the setting in sabnzbd from "0755"  to "" (nothing)  but it doesn't stay

I would like to set sabnzbd so it does not do anything post process with regard to permission changing.

There's a bug in the interface that prevents you from clearing the permissions field.

You need to change the settings file ~/.sabnzbd/sabnzbd.ini with an editor.
Stop SABnzbd, edit the file, restart SABnzbd.

You need to change line:

Code: Select all

permissions = "0777"
to

Code: Select all

permissions = ""

Sorry for dredging up an old post but this is the only thing that I can find that is relevant to the problem. My sabnzbd uses folders mounted on an nfs4 server which passes through the acls that are applied on the server. Creating or deleting the in a normal terminal with the same user as sabnzbd works perfectly with the acls kept intact. However sabnzbd creates the files then does a chmod which removes the acls that should be applied. How do I disable this behaviour? I checked the settings as per this post and there is nothing in the permissions setting so I am at a loss as how to fix this. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Just enter an empty permissions string.
