Hi all,

Trying to update to 3.0.1 and with my old girl being 32bit windows my only option is the standalone, however i can't download it because chrome, firefox and edge all claim the file is harmful and auto delete it, edge especially gets uppity and makes win10 fire off about trojans.

whats up with this?

For some reason it doesn't trust 32bit executables and indeed detects some general Trojan thing in it.
Try to temporarily disable your virusscanner to download and unpack the file.
Once unpacked, you should be fine.

Or download the 3.0.2 RC1 32bit? That one is not blocked by Chrome.

chrome still warns you about the beta version but has a keep option unlike the primary option however windows immeditely quarantines it.

this just standard win10 defender not even an over zealous anti virus product, never had this problem before and whilst im sure its all on the up and up disabling defender and only using the beta sku everytime i need to update doesnt sounds great

Defender needs to get to "know" the file, which usually takes a week or 2 when enough users have downloaded it.
I am in the process of obtaining a certificate to sign the installer, hoping it will be trusted more.

This is still happening.
Windows really doesn't want you to use this file.
