Hi,
Occasionally NZB does not download on 4.2.x while it does on 4.0.3
I'm running SABnzbd on Windows and on a Synology NAS. Two fast news servers are configured plus a slower backup server.
Once in a while a nzb fails to download on Windows and I gave it a try on the NAS. I was a bit surprised that it did download there and started testing.
SABnzbd 4.2.0RC2 Windows 11
- Slow, does not finish
- Missing articles
- Is using third backup server
- Lots of 'Timed out' in logs
SABnzbd 4.0.3 Syno NAS on Qoriq architecture
- Usually slow first time, hangs at a fixed percentage and then after a while (time out) continues.
Next time same file is fast without hesitation. Renaming the file gests a haning download again, but not all the times ... They always finish correctly.
- Does not use third backup server
- Some 'Timed out' in logs
Tried some other things:
- Set Timeout to 20 (was 60 or 120 seconds)
- Switched priotity between two main servers
- Had equal priority at first
- Disabled one or the other main server
- Enabled/Disabled Send Group (topic: https://github.com/sabnzbd/sabnzbd/discussions/2715)
- Another nzb downloaded quickly on 4.0.3 and 4.2.0RC2. Luckily most other nzb's do ;-)
- Comparing sabnzbd.ini's did not show relevant differences (to me)
Saving the server properties sometimes shortly show "Failed" with red background in button.
This happens when changing Priority (sometimes I got another number when setting the two main servers the same priority, sometimes the number was saved) but also sometimes when toggling Send Group.
Usually the new values do stick.
All Par2's are downloaded (always, on both platforms). Log says 'Quick-check for UQq83PfOukEpNTzcFUe6lR is OK, skipping repair'.
It seems a fix from 2017 got broken some versions ago. Here "enable_par_cleanup" got implemented: Option to leave base.par2 after +repair action #956 https://github.com/sabnzbd/sabnzbd/issues/956
Any idea what is happening here?
Attached logs from both platforms and nzb's to the same download, from Spotnet and from NZBindex search.
