Could do with the help of a few users to test a Chrome Extension for SABnzbd I am in the process of creating.

SABConnect
SABnzbd extension for Google Chrome.

Features:
Adds 1-click nzb downloads into SABnzbd for the following sites:
- Newzbin
- NZBMatrix
- TVNZB
Extension menu in the top menu bar showing current status, download speed, timeleft with buttons to pause SABnzbd and open the web interface.

Currently not supported (but should be fixed soon):
- Older versions of SABnzbd that do not use the APIKEY
- An install of SABnzbd that requires a username and password.

Coming soon:
- Time left on all downloads
- Information about the currently queued download
- Support for one-click adding for nzbmatrix, and nzbs.org (once direct support is added to sabnzbd)
- Error messages
- Easy priority support
- Multi-server support


Usage:
- Once installed, open up the settings and enter your api key and path to sabnzbd (and user/pass if needed)
- Go to newzbin downloads page
- Try queueing up some items

Just published a major new version:

1.0 Changelog
- Minimum version of SABnzbd is now 0.5 - Please upgrade if still running the 0.4.x series.
- Moved to SABnzbd's new 0.5 API for more variables and functions.
- Top 5 queue items now show in the popup.
- Can drag+drop top5 items.
- Made 1click optional on all sites (cannot remove the icon due to technical difficulties).
- Added an optional Google Chart for download speed (default disabled).
- Can delete/pause individual items in the top5.


** This is created with version 0.5 of SABnzbd in mind, it should however still work with older versions **

Unfortunately I only have a NZBmatrix-account, so I am not able to test it.

Can the icons be in the address bar instead of the statusbar? Or at least have that as an option. This means the icons can only come up on relevant sites.

The idea was to copy nzbdstatus and show the time left, and information about the current job in the toolstrip. I will look at how easy it is to make the toolstrip optional and use a url icon.

It's the only search engine (that I know) to offer a direct link (not a POST) in search results to download nzb...

I can certainly add nzbmatrix.nl, I have already added tvnzb to an unreleased build also. Just in the middle of adding support for multiple sabnzbd daemons and force/high/medium/low priority so will have to wait until after that.

I hope to also add nzbs.org support too, I just need to wait until 0.5.1 or something before I can put support for that site into sabnzbd.

I would love to have this extension working. It would make me go over to chrome for good, but i can't get it working with the latest Chrome 4 dev channel. I have everything setup correctly but it wont send the nzb to SAB. Is the latest Chrome 4 build not supported yet? Thanks for your help!

Big update. Had to stop my work into priority and multi-server for now due to a few issues, however added a lot more functionality. Now opening up testing to normal users.

I will still be looking int adding multiple daemons and priority support. Just need to work out a few CSS and HTML issues. Not sure how long it will take me however as I am fairly busy at the moment.

Got the settings side of it sorted, just working out how to display the multiple daemon and priority menu.

Sorry but nzbsrus requires authentication for nzbs to be downloaded and this is not supported by sabnzbd's addurl.

We have no plans to add it due to no download API, or easy method for logging in.

Hi,
It doesn't seem to work with Chrome for Mac. I can see the icon, but clicking on it has no effect. (Sabnzbd is running)
How can I help?

Also, wlll it autoupdate, like other Chrome extensions ?

I haven't sorted out auto updating yet. However that should happen once the Google Chrome extension site (http://chrome.google.com/extensions/) is launched.

The popup may be too new for Chrome for Mac. I would wait a little while for an updated Chrome build (or try the latest beta/snapshot).
