My browser warns me of a certificate mismatch when using the new HTTPS mode.

is this a bug?

This is normal behavior.
The certificate is a self-signed one.
Meaning: you did not pay a company like VeriSign a lot of money for it.
Therefore your browser doesn't trust it and you have to tell it that you do.
You can buy a HTTPS certificate from one of the many companies that offer it.

Cool.

Anyone know, in OS X, how to turn off the warning?

This is not an OSX thing, you'll have to tell your web browser, e.g. Safari.
It should tell you by itself. Firefox does.

I don't seen an option in Safari to not show that message in future

In Safari: when the pop shows, click on "Show Certificate".
You'll see more details.
Then check the tickbox "Always trust SABnzbd when connecting to localhost".
The click "Continue".
