Minor Issue in 0.50 Beta 1

When a post has all its files renamed before posting, the Sab par2 process is seemingly unable to rename the files first before then checking if they are valid. So Sab reports the post as repair failed, however if I manually run quickpar it will rename all the files and then check the files without a problem.

I don't download these posts very often, but I do seem to remember that the 0.4x series didn't have this problem. Although I could be mistaken.

Thanks, hope this makes some sort of sense.

0.4.12 did have the same "problem".
We don't consider it a true problem.
Where would we stop to fix the mistakes of dumb posters?

Having said that, there may be some work-arounds in future releases
for this particular problem.

BTW: The fact that QuickPar repairs this is beside the point.
QuickPar is useless in automated solutions, because of its UI orientation.
The par2cdmline utility is less clever and performs worse, but it's all we have.

The rename is by design and is meant to "hide" the post and its contents.

Its certainly nothing I cant live with, as all the posts are password protected too there would still be manual intervention required anyway.

Thanks for the quick response.

SABnzbd-0.5.0 does support password-protected rar files.

Thanks, I did not know that.
