Hello,

Just installed 0.5.0Beta1 on a clean windows 7 pro 32 bit installation.
Configured everything as normal.
SabNzbd is starting at system startup, but only in the background
IE is not opening
How to ste this up
On version 4 this was working...

So you want your web browser to launch up at windows startup with the SABnzbd page?

The point of sabnzbd to start at system startup is for it to NOT load your webbrowser, but to launch silently in the background. This is the intended function and is not a bug.

Yes, Old version was starting up web browser (IE8)
Tryed to fix it by puting the URL in startup.
But than i get: page can not be viewed (hope its the right translation from Dutch)
So appliction is not fully started

Any solution ??

SABnzbd starts up whatever the default browser is,
but not when you run it a system startup.
You cannot don't give it a URL as a parameter, that serves no purpose.

To access the SABnzbd UI you usually put a bookmark in your web browser.
Such a bookmark (favourite in Microsoft speak) can be dragged to the desktop too.

You have to understand that SABnzbd is an application without its own user interface.
It acts as website and is only accessible using a web browser.

The old 4.** was starting up directly as the system boots.
This version (also beta 3 does not)

Guys, of course you are the experts, but shouldn't the OP just go to

http://localhost:8080/sabnzbd/config/switches/

and then turn on "Launch Browser on Startup: Launch the default web browser when starting SABnzbd." ?

What's "OP" ?

Like switch explained: 0.5.0 doesn't start the web-browser when auto-started by the system.
This was a decision on our part.

Aha. Clear to me, now.

I have a similar problem, couldn't connect to http://localhost:8080/sabnzbd/ anymore. Finally figured out that only ipaddress iso localhost worked.
Anyone here that knows how to fix it? Is this to do with the original setup wizzard with the question if you want to be able to connect from other computers in the network?

For the coming 0.5.0Beta4 I have solved a potential problem with localhost for non-Windows/OSX systems.
Could be this one.
It has to do with the inconsistent way localhost is resolved on more recent Ubuntu/Mint versions.
Stumbled on it myself when I tried out Linux Mint.

You forgot to mention your Operating System.

You can change it yourself.
Find the shortcut to SABnzbd in Start->Programs->Startup and modify this shortcut.
In the "target" field change the -b0 to -b1
