pdm.dns query?

Hi,

At the moment I'm trying out Kaspersky Anit-Virus. When I start up SABNZBD+ it complains about SABNZBD+ starting up a PDM.DBS query. Might I ask what this is, and where SABNZBD+ uses it for?

SABnzbd uses a sqlite database to store the download history.
I'm not familiar with the term "pdm.dbs query" but it sounds database-like.

First of all, let me state I rely appreciate what SABNZBD does. And I might sound paranoid, but with computer safety, am I paranoid enough?

The reason I post this is the warning Kaspersky seems obliged to give. From the forum of another program I use in conjunction with SABNZBD (FTD) I got the response it is used to control who is logging in into the program. They want to exclude people they have banned from their product.

Kapersky apparently blocks a ton of stuff for that reason, whatever that reason actually means. I'm seeing so many results that my first thought is this is Kapersky overreacting to something dumb.

SABnzbd is Open Source (contrary to FTD, which is a semi-commercial operation).
You can download the source, inspect it and build it yourself.
