I've been using the betas since the beginning, and I think starting w/beta 5 it was hanging on startup. At first, I couldn't tell what the problem was - I'd see the spinning beachball when mousing over the menu bar item.

By deleting my .ini file and starting over, I was able to isolate the problem: if I set my SABnzbd Port to 8081, it hangs. But for some reason 8080 works. I have NAT set up correctly, so that's not the problem.

OS: OSX 10.6.2
Install-type: OSX Installer

Are you using IPV6? no
Is the issue reproducible? yes

Just tested on 8081, no problem for me...
if you have an another soft listening on 8081, SABnzbd will not start in this port, I have no clue what's happening on your system.
Could you please send me your sabnzbd.log in Library/Application Support/SABnzbd/Logs by pm ?
