Hi,
I am cathegorizing by downloading to movies and subdirs on my mac. What happens is that SAB is creating a new movies folder beside the system folder movies. Is anyone familiar with this on the mac?

I will answer this myself but an entry in the Help files would be nice. I have a foreign language OSX so i have to set the destintion files to movies and music instead of the filename that appears in the finder. Strange but that’s the way it works.

Could you explain this a bit further?
I'm not sure what the issue is.

Oh its not an issue really. On my German OS the user/movies system folder is named user/filme. Now if i set up a category to save the movie in user/filme, the folder is not used but a new folder "filme" generated. Setting up the category to save to user/movies saves the files to user/filme(system) without generating a new folder.

yeah, some OSX Magic here
Folder names are localized, but they retain the english name in the filesystem.
So, for sabnzbd, always use /users/XYZ/Movies or /users/XYZ/Music and so on

OK, now I understand.
A bit like what Windows Vista and Win7 do with "My Music", etc.
Never tested it, but I expect the same behavior.
I'm sure a work-around would be possible, but somehow I don't think it's worth it.
Because it may add to the confusion.
