SabNZBd+ v 5.0 under OSX will not start - error about port

Post by milfhunter »

Hi,

I'v just upgraded to v5.0 and it was working fine for a couple of days but for some reason now every time I start, the menubar instance hangs and Safari only displays an error about "SabNZBd+ is already running or another program is using port xxxx" which isn't the case since I tried the Terminal fix about 20 times and ended up with 20 versions of the app all hanging in the menubar!

Has anyone seen this and does anyone know how to fix it?
I have OSX Firewall turned off when I try to use it and Little Snitch set to allow all connections and have rebooted several times after deleting the SabNZBd folder from App Support and still, reinstalling will not fix it.
This is very frustrating!

Cheers,
Scott

Cannot Little Snitch tell which program is using the port?
Which port are you using?

it's ok,I fixed it.  It was that I hadn't removed the old preferences folder at ~/.sabnzbd and it was causing an overwrite of settings.
rm -f ~/.sabnzbd fixed this and allowed me to reconfig from scratch.

thanks anyway!
