I suggest that when we get certain notifications like "Download Completed" that clicking the notification window opens the download folder, or begins playing a downloaded movie.. etc etc. You can do this kind of linked notification with other applications on growl, I think Sab should do the same. Thanks!

Does my request make sense? With iChat and Chax installed, when you get a Growl notification, clicking it opens the message window so you can reply. Clicking "x" closes the notification. With Growl + Gmail notifier, clicking a new mail notification opens that message in your web browser. With Sabnzbd, when a download complete notification arrives, it should open the folder or begin playing the movie.

It makes sense, I'll add to the (long) feature list.
Since it's OSX-only, it depends on the mood of our OSX-supporting team member

Growl is not OSX only. It's now available on Windows. I don't know if Sabnzbd supports it.

Edit: Sabnzbd-Growl is not supported on Windows yet.

I was under the impression that SABnzbd had to implement the opening of folders etc.
We cannot do that in a multi-platform way.
If it's growl itself that takes care of that, it would be an interesting option.
I'll look further into it.

Shy, Is there any news on Growl support being added to SABnzbd? I see the posts above confirm that Growl is for Mac and Windows but it seems that it can be used with Python too (http://the.taoofmac.com/space/projects/netgrowl) which might help make it more universal? Personally as someone using a NAS box for downloads I'd love to be able to get the box to send Growl notifications when jobs finish rather than emails.

Growl support for OSX is already in.
Support for other platforms isn't so straightforward.
We're a bit afraid of a support nightmare.
It will be looked at in the future.
