web gui connecting but not loading

Has anyone ever seen the web gui connect, but just load a blank page? This is what I'm seeing on my windows 7 and XP machine (dual boot) with sab hosted on an ubuntu 9.1 machine. GUI loads fine from the server, and it appears to load from everywhere else - it's just a blank page. Here's more info:
-Only things that have changed are my Windows 7 install and my router security (from WEP to WPA-PSK)
-SAB is hosted on port 9000. Loading http://:9000 gives me a blank screen. Loading http://:9001 gives me a standard 404 error.
-I also have sickbeard installed (running on port 8081). This is working just fine.
I've searched the forums here and tried modifying my "listen" value from 0.0.0.0 to localhost and then to 127.0.0.1 - but no change in behavior.
When I get back home, I'll swap sickbeard and sab's ports and update with what happens - any ideas until then?
thanks
jm
