Hi all,

Every now and then, I download something where the PAR2 files seem to be wrong or just not enough of them. SAB does the PAR2 check, fails and marks the download and "Repair Failed", 90% of the time the files are fine even without the need for the PAR's and I have to manually extract them. I was wondering if there was a way to force unrar even is PAR2 check fails or maybe a button in the "History" window to start the unrar process as manually extracting the files bypasses the post-processing.

Is anyone else having this issue or am I alone?

If this happens a lot, your NZB come from a bad source.
SABnzbd download the minimum required are uses those to verify the download.
When more par2 files are needed they are downloaded.
If the rar files are OK and verification fails, there's something wrong with the par2 files
or (more likely) the NZB file.
If you want to force unrar just disable "Post process only verified jobs" in Config->Switches.

Yeah this doesn't happen often at all but does seem to happen now and then, its not a major issue at all but just an annoyance every now and then. Thanks for the reply.

I have the same problem. It is rare but does occur on occasion.

I believe this occurs due to SAB confusing the pars created for the SAMPLE, and not the actual release. If I manually repair the par2, or if parity pass I unrar and it works successfully!

SABnzbd wants all sets to verify.
If there's a failing sample in the NZB, SABnzbd will think the jobs has failed.
